The atlas was collaboratively curated and designed by the Nibutani Ainu community of Ainu Mosir/Hokkaido (Japan), Syracuse University, University of Alaska Fairbanks, the Center for Ainu & Indigenous Studies at Hokkaido University, and the Exchange for Local Observations and Knowledge of the Arctic (ELOKA).
